Independent Healthcare Advisory Services
KPMC is a member of Independent Healthcare Advisory Services www.independenthealthcare.org.uk. All Practitioners at KPMC therefore benefit from access to IHAS services which are solely dedicated to independent healthcare. IHAS keeps its members up to date with all developing and changing areas of operational policy and has very well established links with Care Quality Commission, NHS, General Medical Council, National Institute for Clinical Excellence, National Patients Safety Agency, Nursing and Good Midwifery Council and Health Professional Council.
Information published by all of these organisations is constantly monitored and important news is communicated to members each month. KPMC’s Registered Manager disseminates this information to its Practitioners.

KPMC is a corporate sponsor of Independent Doctors Federation, alongside large organisations such as The Doctors Laboratory, GlaxoSmithKline and HCA as well as smaller companies including Draycott Nursing, European Scanning Centre and many others.
The IDF supports Doctors in independent practice to achieve the highest professional standards in caring for their patients. They work with the Care Quality Commission, General Medical Council and similar organisations to provide high quality education and validation, and organise numerous social events. www.idf.uk.net.
Infection Control Services
We take infection control very seriously and have designed KPMC around best practice in line with the most advanced infection control guidelines. Our protocols on infection control are written by experts and we are regularly inspected by these experts to ensure the highest standard of care. Crosscare
KPMC uses Crosscare by Healthy Software to maintain both clinical records for each patient and run some of the administrative aspects of KPMC, including booking of appointments, invoicing tests and similar. Healthy Software tell us that Crosscare is rapidly being adopted by numerous private practices across London, as well as elsewhere in the UK. The Doctors Laboratory
KPMC uses The Doctors Laboratory, TLD www.tdlpathology.com , to provide pathology services in support of our occupiers, both GPs and Consultants. TDL provide this service, and others, to numerous hospitals, clinics, screening organisations and insurance companies. All departments are accredited by Clinical Pathology Accreditation (UK) Limited, one of the two laboratory accreditation bodies operating in the UK. KPMC have found TDL to be very responsive, frequently reporting very rapidly and often well within previously agreed delivery times.
London Marriott Hotel Kensington
We are next to the 4 star London Marriott Hotel Kensington, www.londonmarriottkensington.co.uk, with all the usual facilities of a major London hotel including Nabuccos wine bar, Fratelli Grill restaurant, a leisure centre with 12m swimming pool, gym, steam room, sauna and spa bath. KPMC occupiers are entitled to discounted local company annual membership. There are also 9 meeting rooms with a capacity for 2 to 150 people, also available at special rates. Grove Millican - Chartered Surveyors
Our project manager, for what turned out to be a more complex project than originally envisaged, was Mike Plymsol, Partner at Grove Millican www.grovemillican.co.uk. GM were the lead consultants in overall control of cost, planning and building regulation approval. They headed the team which included an interior designer and services and structural engineers, plus numerous other specialist skills such as acoustic engineers. We are pleased to say that Mike took a deep interest in our needs and was able to bring considerable medical experience to the project. Mike has previously acted on behalf of BUPA and other medical organisations. We are grateful to Mike for helping to deliver a very high quality building.
